TOC-750S TOC Analyzer

Product introduction

The TOC-750S Total Organic Carbon Analyzer test the total organic carbon concentration in water samples. It can detect water samples with TOC concentrations ranging from 0.001 mg/L to 100.0 mg/L with high sensitivity, accuracy, and good stability.

 

The TOC-750S Total Organic Carbon Analyzer is a simple online testing instrument. The main components are installed on the main unit. Before measurement, the instrument needs to be connected to the gas line and the reagents are prepared. The instrument is controlled by a special software installed on the instrument display to perform measurement, calibration, printing and other data processing tasks.

Working principle

The TOC-750S Total Organic Carbon Analyzer utilizes the UV-persulfate oxidation-NDIR detection principle. One sample is fully oxidized by UV and persulfate to produce CO2, while another sample is treated with an acid reagent to decompose inorganic carbon into CO2. The CO2 is then dried and cleaned with a carrier gas before entering a non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detector for measurement, thereby determining the carbon concentration in the sample.

Test Mode

Work method

TC mode

 The TC mode is used to determine the total carbon in the sample. The sample is decomposed into CO2 in the UV reactor under the action of oxidant, acid reagent and UV.

TIC Mode

The TIC mode is used to determine the inorganic carbon (carbonates and bicarbonates) in a sample. In a UV reactor, the carbonate and bicarbonate fractions are decomposed into CO2 by the presence of an acid reagent.

TOC Mode

 

TOC mode is used to measure the organic carbon in a sample. TOC is determined using the subtraction method, i.e., TOC = TC - TIC. TC and TIC are measured sequentially. The TOC measured using the subtraction method includes both volatile and nonvolatile organic carbon.

NPOC Mode

 

TOC mode is used to measure the organic carbon in a sample. TOC is determined using the subtraction method, i.e., TOC = TC - TIC. TC and TIC are measured sequentially in the sample. The TOC measured using the subtraction method includes both volatile and nonvolatile organic carbon.
